Project Description Tacoma Towing proposes to relocate their current site at 9118 39th Avenue SW to a new location at 3803 94th Street SW, both situated in the city of Lakewood. Tacoma Towing currently occupies 1.30-acre tax parcel #: 0220368019. The existing facility functions as a towing and auto storage enterprise and does not provide automotive repair services. The development proposal entails relocating their facility just southeast of their existing location to 2.17-acre tax parcel #: 3960000261. The future site, with an address of 3803 94th Street S, currently acts as an exterior storage yard for LeMay Inc. – a waste connections company.

Optional SEPA Environmental Review: The City of Lakewood has reviewed the proposed project for probable adverse environmental impacts and expects to issue a Determination of Non-significance (DNS) for this project. The optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This may be your only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project. Agencies, tribes, and the public are encouraged to review and comment on the proposed projects and its probable environmental impacts.
Public Comment Period: The public and interested agencies are invited to comment on the application beginning on May 24, 2023 and ending June 24, 2023. Comments must be in writing and received in the Lakewood Community Development Department by 5 P.M. on June 24, 2023.
