Project Description: Harry Todd Park is the only public open space in the Tillicum neighborhood area. The waterfront area is not ADA accessible, the docks are aging and the playground is over 15 years old and in need of replacement. Multiple grants for both phases have been awarded through the State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO). As a result, the planning, permitting and construction were combined into a single project for cost savings and efficiencies.
Phase I improvements include an ADA pathway to the waterfront, replacing the existing bulkhead and shoreline and open space restoration and improvements.
Phase II improvements will include building a fishing pier, replacing the finger docks, adding new access from the parking lot and replacing the restroom building and playground structure.
Estimated Cost: $3,500,000
Project Status: Construction anticipated to begin Fall 2020. The project is anticipated to be completed by spring 2021.
