Policy Statement
It is the policy of the City of Lakewood to assure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or be otherwise discriminated against under any of its programs and activities. The City of Lakewood further assures that every effort will be made to ensure nondiscrimination in all of its programs and activities, whether those programs and activities are federally funded or not.

You have the right to free language assistance. Language assistance may never be denied, regardless of the language requested.
File a Complaint
If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination based on race, color, or national origin, including the denial of language access services, you may file a complaint. Complaints must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory act.
