Contest Details
- Top 15 artists will receive a $100 prize
- Winners will be invited to participate in the MLK Beloved Community Event on Feb 4th
- Artwork must be submitted by December 10 at 4 p.m.
- Submitted artwork will be on display at Lakewood City Hall through March 31, 2027

Visual Art: Any 2-D Medium
- Painting, drawing, photography, digital art & fashion.
- Size: 8.5″ × 11″ minimum; 12″ × 18″ maximum, excluding matting.
- Artwork must be matted and labeled with student information.
- Include a 100–150-word theme statement and signed waiver.
Performance Art: 3-Minute or Less Video Recording
- Submit a 3 minute or less video recording of:
- Theater or vignettes
- Dance
- Spoken word / poetry
- Original music
