Public policy needs to be supported by clear, accurate and relevant data. In Lakewood we support a commonsense approach to policies that protect lives and property. The Lakewood Police Department is one of the few agencies statewide that started tracking data around a pursuit law that took effect in 2021. We tracked 18 months before the law took effect. And we tracked the data since it took effect.
