Annually, the City solicits project proposals that encourage tourism and cultural activities in Lakewood. The City’s share of taxes collected for overnight stays at hotels and motels within city limits funds the projects approved by the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC).
The application process for 2027 Lodging Tax Grant Allocations is now closed. The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) will review submitted proposals and make funding recommendations in November 2026 (schedule below). We anticipate opening the application window for 2028 Lodging Tax Grant Allocations in July 2027.
The Lodging Tax Grant Application provides information regarding eligible uses of motel/hotel tax revenues and the process for proposal submission.
