In addition to beautiful natural areas, several Lakewood parks offer facilities for rent. Many parks have picnic shelters with seating for 25 to 100 people. These are the perfect place for a reunion, birthday party, or other special events.

Ft. Steilacoom Park Pavilion
The facility can accommodate up to 75 people inside and can be considered on a case-by-case basis for larger groups during the nice summer months. Space inside the main building is approximately 1000 sq feet and includes tables and chairs. This is a great place for meeting, weddings or other special events!
All set up and cleanup is done by the renter. There will be a facility attendant. There is a small warming kitchen with 2 ovens, a refrigerator, a sink and restrooms.
Cost is $150 per hour with a four-hour minimum plus a $500 refundable deposit and $185 cleaning fee. Reservation requests must be done at least 30 days in advance. Alcohol is only allowed in the pavilion with a permit and host liquor insurance. Alcohol is not allowed anywhere else in the park.

Shelter Rental Instructions
Parks across Lakewood offer many shelters for different kinds of events. Want a summer beach party? Book the shelter at American Lake Park with its 3-lane boat launch and swimming beach. Looking for something a little smaller? Primley Park is the perfect neighborhood spot to let your kids run around while keeping them within eyesight. Want something a little larger? The Pavilion at Fort Steilacoom Park provides an enclosed facility ideal for receptions.

Sports Field Rentals
Many of Lakewood’s parks offer sports field rentals. If you are planning to host an athletic tournament or sports practice, you must fill out an application.
